Potou Pyr Bio agoureleo is a single variety unfiltered extra virgin olive oil of premium quality extracted from hondrolia variety of Halkidiki. Its bright green color and blurred appearance reveals the rich density of nutrients and the mild processing conditions that took place, having as a positive outcome the high content of antioxidants, ranking this olive oil between the best in the world. Product of ultra-cold extraction at 24oC and obtained within 4 hours from the olive collection, Pyr Bio agoureleo is produced solely by mechanical means and only from olive trees that are subject to organic farming directions. No chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides were applied to the olive trees during the cultivation process.

The premium extra virgin olive oil agoureleo Potou Pyr Bio is being collected the latest by the 10th of October, when the olives are still unripe. From 12-13 kg of olives, only 1 liter of olive oil is being extracted, resulting in the limited quantity agoureleo. This rare olive oil provides low levels of acidity and an exceptionally high percentage of polyphenols, an ally for good health and beneficiary effect on heart protection. . Pyr Bio agoureleo extra virgin olive oil specifically has been found in laboratory analysis to contain a much higher percentage of elaiokanthali and elaiasini (135mg/kg and 79mg/kg) as opposed to the average of 99mg/kg and 48mg/kg respectively. Moreover, it belongs to the category of olive oils that protect against oxidation of cholesterol, according to the EU Regulation 432/2012, since it contains 278mg/kg total polyphenols greater than the average 250mg/kg.
